The LiangMen School where the project is located is organized around a main playground delimited by the existing building. The project intends to mark a new playground and create a new space to enjoy the exceptional view on the valley and rice fields.

The transition is materialized through a rectangular box, a covered pavilion, with a pillar room in its middle, elevated on a wooden floor over a stone slab. The typology of the temple is translated into the entrance to a private garden, overhanging the rice fields, building a serene and calm atmosphere.
The two symmetric volumes at the edges are looking towards the cliff and compact all the inside functions. While an overflowing roof with a small slope circles the rectangle, creating various covered subspaces. The project offers a design of the outside space working with stone slabs, which create a dynamic flow and spatiality whilst being furniture. The project calls to the Buyei culture inside the school, by including traditional construction materials. Thereby recalling symnbolic elements thanks to the stone walls, the tiles and the garden.
